With the following documents, I'd like to introduce myself... Who am I? My name is Stephan Streuber and I am studying Media & Computer Sciences at Harz University of Applied Studies & Research in Wernigerode, Germany. During my five years of study, I have specialized in new media and human-computer interaction. I possess considerable knowledge in the area of computer graphics, virtual- and augmented reality, visualizing technologies, digital story telling and media art. Having lived, worked and travelled abroad, I value every opportunity in which I may broaden my international knowledge and experience. At present, I am completing the final thesis for my German "Diplom" at Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tubingen, Germany. Since Sept 2006 [Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics] Currently I am working on a project called [JAST]. (Joint Action Science & Technology) The goal of JAST is to build jointly-acting autonomous systems that communicates and works intelligently on non-trivial mutual tasks. Therefore I am developing an immersive virtual reality environment to investigate how our perceptions, decisions and behaviour are tuned to those of others with whom we share beliefs, intentions and goals and thus form a group. A goal that is far-reaching beyond studying individual cognitive systems and that will expand the concept of "group" to "human plus artificial agent(s)."
